Centralise Your Storage

Many publishers have their production teams spread around their country, often the world, all working in different time zones. Authors can be and often are anywhere, Typesetting being done in India, artists, proofreaders and copyeditors are all out of house working their hours to suit their own lifestyle. With our WorkFlow this all becomes pretty much irrelevant. All assets for each entire project are available to anyone you give permission too, at anytime, from anywhere. No waiting until tomorrow to sort something out. You will often come into the office in the morning and find a large portion of the WorkFlow has happened whislt you were asleep.

Every user can have varying degrees of access (defined by you) to every file or just one single file on the system. As before, if someone needs something, they do not have to wait for one of the team to send it to them. As long as it is on the system, they can get it. Everyone can look at the schedule at any time. As mentioned on other pages, the system does not sleep. It keeps on working when you are in meetings, at home in bed, away sick or on holiday, it never sleeps and does not know what a time zone is.

In the unlikely event the system fails (see Data Security), you will not be left high and dry, all you need to do is go back to the old steam driven management approach. All assets will still be with whoever generated them, the copyeditor will still have his files, the proofreader will still have his original files and the Typesetter will still have the work he has done. Look on the system as a highly efficient assistant who works 24/7 and makes no mistakes, never gets tired and is never angry at having to work so hard or under too much pressure. It will never talk back and never gets in a mood. Don't we wish all our staff were like that!
